Writers

We’re always on the lookout for talented writers to contribute to our site. Individuals with experience in the specialised areas we cover, including broadband, mobile and TV are welcomed to apply. We have writers from across the globe, focusing on providing clear and concise copy which simplifies the often complicated process of finding a suitable provider in the aforementioned areas, and offers value to both the reader and our clients. This role is full time. Attention to detail is imperative, as well as the ability to learn and work fast, and possess very efficient time-management and organisational skills. This is a great opportunity to get a bottom-up understanding of how an agile, digital publisher works.

Key day-to-day tasks include:

Resource management
> Manage writers and content publishers daily to ensure content is delivered on time and to brief
> Manage all contractors/freelancers ensuring they understand what is required of them and answer any urgent questions
> Work with the Directors to develop the content strategy as well as execute it across the site
> Work with our analytics manager to propose new content ideation based on performance of live pages as well as prospective articles based on market research
> Manage auditors to ensure we have the most up to date offers, pricing and plans
> Source and manage content writers to ensure we have the best writers for the right content
> Improve and enhance existing communication, publishing and job tasking work-flows such as ‘check-lists’ where needed so operation maximises time and resources

Content
> Writing of articles and proofreading all writer articles to ensure quality and accuracy of content
> Managing our video content and constantly optimising the approach to enhance video engagement and reach
> Drive the CompareTV social media campaign strategy and execution across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube
> Work with SEM Manager to ensure that relevant content is pushed in Search channels based on what’s trending
> Keep a TV content calendar up to date to ensure CompareTV remains an industry leader in knowing TV content in market
> Drive the CompareTV eDM campaigns (weekly and monthly send outs) and show performance increase over a period of time

Process management
> Manage the master content spreadsheet to ensure it’s constantly up to date
> Lead the monthly audit process to ensure the accuracy of plans, reviews and news content across the site
> Manage CompareTV’s internal project management tool for all content projects and tasks
> Constantly optimising internal workflow processes to ensure our business operates as a best in class publisher
