The partnership between the Vanarama National League and BT continues with the new season commencing soon. BT Sport will televise 14 games between August and October as the coveted Football League promotion sets off some high-stakes game trails with this season’s National League.
The TV deal between the Vanarama National League and BT, which started in 2013, was renewed last year so it’s extended until the end of 2020/2021. Thus, BT Sport remains to be the only place to bring you the exclusives on this year’s National League games.
2019 National League TV Highlights
With BT Sport’s exclusive domestic broadcast rights, fans will continue to watch one live game each week during the season. BT Sport will also deliver full coverage of the end-of-season promotion playoffs. The champions and play-off winners will then qualify for the Football League.
The competition kicks off on August 3 with Stockport County and Maidenhead United officially starting this year’s National League season. Excitement then escalates with Notts County clashing with Barnet a week later on August 10.
The second National League game also determines whether Notts County earns their promotion back to the Football League. After ending at the bottom of fourth tier last season, Yeovil Town returns to the National League once again, going head to head with Barrow on August 17.
Tune in to BT Sport 1 weekly for more nonstop action as the National League delivers one of the country’s much-awaited live sport spectacles. Happening on October 12 and wrapping up this season’s National League event, the final game between Wrexham and Chesterfield is a definite must-see. All 24 clubs in the National League will air live on BT Sport 1 within the first three months of the campaign.
